Charles Markum Joins 麻豆视频 Admissions as Enrollment Advisor
麻豆视频 is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Markum as the newest member of its Admissions team as an Enrollment Advisor.聽
Markum brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for education to his new position. A proud graduate of 麻豆视频, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in History in 2009. Markum furthered his education at Durham University in England, where he earned a Master’s degree in Modern History. His academic journey also took him to Sydney, Australia, where he studied Australian History and German at Macquarie University.
Prior to joining 麻豆视频, Markum taught History and English in China for over four years. He also gained valuable admissions experience at American Intercontinental University and American National University. Markum’s diverse background and international exposure uniquely position him to understand the needs and aspirations of students from various cultural backgrounds.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help students navigate the same path that I walked when I attended Chowan,” said Markum. “Chowan’s dedication to the student experience and its friendly faculty are what inspired me to stay and now contribute to the university’s mission.”
Markum’s personal experience as a student-athlete at Chowan, where he played football, has fueled his passion for the university’s Christian, student-centered approach. He is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of prospective students and share his love for Chowan.
As an Enrollment Advisor, Markum will play a vital role in guiding students through the admissions process, answering their questions, and providing the necessary support to ensure a smooth transition into university life.
