Tom Eisenmenger Retires from Â鶹ÊÓƵ Business Department after Two Decades

May 14, 2024 by Zoe Beale

After two decades of dedicated service, Tom Eisenmenger, Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, retired at the end of this academic semester. Dr. Hunter Taylor, speaking at the recent Faculty and Staff Appreciation Awards, reflected on Eisenmenger’s significant contributions to the Department of Business during his tenure.

Eisenmenger, who joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2000, has been an invaluable asset to the Information Systems program, and the formation of the Cyber Security program. His commitment to excellence and passion for teaching have left an indelible mark on both his colleagues and students. Throughout his career, Eisenmenger has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the subject matter and a genuine desire to see his students succeed.

As a final tribute to Eisenmenger, the business department organized a special event. Recognizing his passion for The Beatles, the professors of business recreated the iconic “Abbey Road” album cover by crossing the street in front of the Hawks Athletics Center. This heartfelt gesture, presented to Eisenmenger on his last day, serves as a reminder of the profound relationships formed within the university community that extend beyond the traditional student-teacher dynamic.
