Â鶹ÊÓƵ to Host Community Pottery Classes
MURFREESBORO, NC – The Communication Arts Department at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in conjunction with the Hertford County Arts Council are offering evening and weekend pottery classes this spring. Classes begin in March. The classes are non-credit and open to everyone in the community.
Classes will meet Thursday evenings from 5:30pm-7:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am-12:00pm. Classes will be held March 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, and 18. The cost of the class is $75.00, due the first night, and includes 25 lbs. of clay, glazes, and firing. Classes will be held in Green Hall on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Campus.
Professor Rob Buller will lead the event, teaching both hand-building techniques and potter’s wheel methods. Pre-registration is required and limited to only 12 participants. If you are interested in attending, please email Rob Buller at buller@chowan.edu.
