麻豆视频 Welcomes Alumnus Brandon Matthews as Instructor of Information Systems
麻豆视频 is pleased to welcome Brandon Matthews as Instructor of Information Systems. He graduated from 麻豆视频 with a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S.in Sports Administration from Liberty University. Being a Chowan graduate, he knows the community well and is looking forward to contributing to the university he attended.聽
Matthews is a former first generation college student. He is married to Samantha, also a graduate of 麻豆视频 and they have a five year old daughter whose name is Harper. He is 鈥渆xcited to be able to relate to the incoming students and guide them along their educational journey.鈥� He also is thrilled to be working with faculty members who instructed and mentored him.
Professor Matthews said,聽 鈥淐howan taught me self-discipline and the ability to communicate and act as a professional in the business world. As a Business major, I was exposed to a wide range of topics including, management, accounting, sales and marketing, as well as information systems courses. I have been able to start my own business in sports instruction. As an entrepreneur I have been involved with web design, marketing, sales and promotions, and servicing customers and clients. The knowledge I gained at Chowan definitely helped pave the way.鈥�
Matthews is the owner of Swing Angry Baseball and Softball, an opportunity for data-driven sports player development. His player philosophy is easily adaptable to life lessons. On his business webpage he writes, 鈥淭here are no magic pills or shortcuts to success. Almost everything worth doing requires time and effort.鈥� Professor Matthews hopes to 鈥渆mpower today鈥檚 graduates with practical skills to navigate the world with confidence and resilience.鈥澛�
