Â鶹ÊÓƵ Community Chorus Begins Rehearsals
Under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Thorburn, Director of Choral Activities, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Community Chorus will begin weekly rehearsals on Monday, September 9. Rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Briley Recital Hall in the lower level of Daniel Hall on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus.
The Community Chorus is open to singers of all ages from Murfreesboro and the surrounding areas. Prior choral experience is helpful but not required, though singers should be familiar with reading musical notation.
Fall rehearsals will culminate with a performance in the Christmas at Chowan concert to be held on Sunday, December 8 at 3:30 pm. The Christmas concert will feature the Christmas cantata Sing Joy to All the World! By Lloyd Larson and include classical masterworks and choral favorites.
