Young Joins CU Athletic Training Staff
The Chowan Athletic Department and Director of Sports Medicine, Eric Gustafson, announced the hiring of as an assistant athletic trainer.
Jessica Young comes to Chowan after completing her masters' in Human Development and Leadership at Murray State in May 2019. While with the Racers, Young assisted with volleyball, women's soccer, football, men's and women's cross country, track and field, women's tennis, and baseball.
Young finished her undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State, where she graduated with a degree in Athletic Training in 2016. With the Falcons, Young helped with the men's hockey, baseball, women's soccer, women's basketball, and football programs. She would perform her clinical studies at Wellington Mercy Outpatient Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Rehabilitation.
She is an NATABOC certified athletic trainer and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
