CU tennis in ITA Final Regional Rankings
MURFREESBORO, N.C.- The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Men's and Women's Tennis programs finish the 2016-17 campaigns with top-10 regional rankings according to Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings.
The men's program finished their season in the NCAA DII Tennis Championships falling in the Sweet 16 at Ferris State, stayed at No. 41 in the nation. Chowan finished second in the Atlantic Region behind Bluefield State.
, , and wrap up competition ranked in the top-20 in the region in singles play. Kaliakperov finishes ranked fourth, with Hajizada in sixth and Izycki in 16th.
Hajizada and Kaliakperov also rank fifth in doubles.
On the women's side, the Hawks finish the season ranked seventh in the region after falling to Shaw in the CIAA Championships. Shaw is ranked sixth in the region.
