Friends of Music Concert
The Department of Music hosted a Friends of Music Concert and Reception on Thursday, March 3 at Murfreesboro Baptist Church. The concert featured music performances by the music faculty, including Mary Hellmann, Mike Butrico, Paula Pressnell, James Guthrie, and Lynette Smith , and the Chowan Singers led by Aaron Rice.
The Friends of Music exists to strengthen the Department of Music’s work in training musicians, providing study opportunities, serving the university and the public through performances, and promoting the department and events of by raising funds for their operations. All people who love music and acknowledge its importance are eligible for membership in The Friends of Music at Chowan.
