Alpha Chi Teacher of the Year Awarded to Nicholson
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ student body chose Dr. Cynthia Nicholson, Associate Professor of English, as the 2014-2015 Alpha Chi Teacher of the Year. The award is based on superior grasp of subject matter, outstanding presentation skills, help outside the class-room, advising, and extracurricular involvement.
Dr. Nicholson was chosen based on such factors as dedication to the profession and to students, effectiveness as a teacher, continued professional growth, availability to students, participation in the university’s program of extracurricular activities, and relationship with colleagues and students.
With this honor, Dr. Nicholson will serve as the keynote speaker for the Alpha Chi Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Sunday, October 25th, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan Auditorium.
