Outstanding Student Awards
In the beauty of a newly renovated Vaughan Auditorium, 麻豆视频 gathered to celebrate its most distinguished students during the annual Outstanding Student Award Ceremony. This award is the highest honor the university bestows. The evening began with a heartfelt prayer by Abbie Sutton, setting a tone of gratitude and pride for all who would be recognized.
Dr. John Dilustro, Provost, offered words that resonated with the gathered students, families, faculty, and friends. 鈥淭hese students have proven themselves to be exceptional leaders and scholars and there is no doubt that they will go on to accomplish great things.” He also likened the award recipients to rare gemstones, each treasured for its unique shape and brilliance. 鈥淟ooking at you today, your accolades may vary, but to us, you are the gems鈥攖he jewels of beauty. Thank you for being who you are.鈥�
Dr. David Ballew, Chair of the Department of General Education, joined Dr. Dilustro to present the awards. 鈥淓ach year, a select group of third and fourth year students are chosen for this prestigious honor,鈥� he explained to the audience. 鈥淭he selection is made by a panel of faculty and staff, based on leadership, academic achievement, community service, contributions to the university, and good citizenship.鈥�
As each name was called, with a list of accomplishments, applause and occasional cheering echoed the pride and support felt by everyone present.
