Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Athletics Recognized as Best College Athletic Program
Congratulations Hawks! Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Athletic Program received over 30,000 votes becoming best in the area honored in a contest by the Roanoke-Chowan News Herald.
“What an honor to be named the Best College Athletic Program by the Roanoke-Chowan News Herald,” said Patrick Mashuda, Associate Vice President for Athletics and Compliance. “The Roanoke-Chowan News Herald has been a longtime partner and friend of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and the athletic department. We are so proud of what our staff, our sports medicine personnel, our coaches, and our student-athletes do each day to make the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ community great.”Â
During a university press release on September 24, Patrick Mashuda announced that Conference Carolinas is the first NCAA Division I and II to sponsor women’s flag football; Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be one of the first colleges to include a team in their program. Also this month, Chowan received the prestigious honor of placing in the top ten promising Sports Sciences Colleges in the USA in Higher Education Review Magazine, and Best Business Programs by , all contributing to their well earned distinction of Best College Athletic Program.
